American Airlines Business Class 777 Flight Review

My very first review of a United States provider – the American Airlines 777-300er including the AA flagship company class item.

This flight evaluation was recorded on AA080 from Dallas Fort Worth to London Heathrow. It is an overnight flight so was an ideal opportunity to evaluate out the American Airlines business class lay flat bed.

The American Airlines 777 company class flight evaluation covers the Admirals Lounge at DFW, boarding, take off, the AA organisation class seat, inflight dining and home entertainment. I also cover the American Airlines organisation class facilities set.

For more flight evaluations consisting of British Airways, Qatar, Qantas, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Etihad, Turkish Airline companies, LATAM and Baltic Air please have a look at my channel.

Flight: AA080
Route: Dallas Fort Worth to London Heathrow
When: May 2017
Aircraft: Boeing 777-300er registration N734AR
Seat: 12J
Electronic camera: Sony FDR-AXP55

To their credit, American Airlines really has been making honest strides to becoming the premier US carrier once again…..Good to see AA has stepped up their business class…..now if only they could make economy *just* a little bit better in terms of seat pitch for over 6ft people like me….

indyracingnut I work for AA and we are honestly making good customer centric changes. Most of them are in progress but they will change AA services matching Gulf carriers.

indyracingnut I flew on their a330-200 from CLT to MAD recently and the economy class had plenty of room for me (6’4″) I can’t speak for anything other that their a321 for domestic use, which has slightly less but still is tolerable. Honestly the worst airline I’ve flown with in terms of legroom has to be an Iberia a319/a320 (to and from)

I’ll never forget the first ever business class upgrade I got was flying on AA from Honolulu to Los Angeles in 2000 and I’ve been hooked on flying ever since! Great to see how it looks now, totally different!! Andy

I got an upgrade on an Etihad flight from Tokyo to Abu Dhabi, completely changed my perception of flight.

I had flown a similar route from Doha to Tokyo on Qatar’s economy class and the difference was mind blowing.

It’s so nice to see American not be the worst Airline ever anymore. But I live in Houston the largest hub for United.😐

Garuda Indonesia and Qatar Airways for example give free wifi to it’s first class passengers.

Dennis I as does Etihad last I checked. Some airlines have WiFi but it’s provided via a third party so they don’t decide wether to do it for free or not.

Most of airlines profide wifi through a third party, but that’s not a reason for them to not to offer complimentary wifi to first class passengers.

You do realise it’s the same seat as the Cathay seat you flew and reviewed a year ago.

Hey, Dennis, have you done AA 72 (SYD-LAX) on the 777-300? I’m doing it in three weeks in seat 3A. If you have done it, what lounge at SYD does AA use?

Hi mate, I flew the Syd to lax return last year in August. On that flight they offered pj’s and slippers and also when the bed was made it was made with a cover for the seat which was slightly padded. Have they taken this away or just didn’t offer on this leg do you know?

Hi mate, no they still provide these on the extra long intercontinental flights – just not on the shorter routes.
