Janice Yen we basically eat food solely from trader joe’s, avoid all tourists and tourist locations, and use public transportation constantly. even if you are only here for a week, you can buy metrocards that will work for smaller time frames than the usual one month, which is soooo worth it

I pack my shampoo and conditioner in those smaller plastic travel bottles. To avoid having to take full sized bottles.

Something I grew up doing in Japan when we were packing we would use ‘Furoshiki’ wrapping cloth to wrap clothes, to keep the bag neat and organised. They are also handy to use as bags while travelling.

I was in Germany last fall and on the way back the ladies behind us on the plane were amazed that had my own water bottle and was having it refilled off the drinks cart. They kept saying stuff like “wow, she really knows what she’s doing”, “she must really travel a lot”. It was pretty funny.

I love to travel! I have 3 favorite hacks. 1. Everything I pack goes with everything I pack, and darker clothes stay clean longer. 2. I roll my clothes and put them in packing cubes so all like items stay together. 3. When I have to put dirty clothes back in my suitcase and cubes, I turn them inside out. If the hotel has plastic bags for the ice bucket or dry cleaning, I will put the dirty clothes in the bag before putting it in the packing cube. When I get home, I reuse the bag for trash.

I LOVE all the Mustard channels. You guys make my day! Thanks for being there with gorgeous, well-made and useful videos, with lots of charm and personality. You feel like friends and I don’t know even know you. I live on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. Look me up if you make it my way. ๐ŸŒž
